Project time: Storage

As some of you know, we are at an 'in between' stage, when it comes to where we live. We live in a teeny-tiny apartment right now, because we're a) waiting to see where Erin gets a job and b) trying to save money for a house.

Gratefully, we got a TON of gifts for our wedding, and have NO WHERE to store them. And instead of having them in a pile in my office (which would drive me crazy!) we got a great idea on how to create storage in a very full apartment. Our good friends have a baker's rack in their house, and put curtains in front of the shelving, to give it a fancier appearance. We loved the idea, and ran with it!

Target had a sale on their heavy-duty wire shelving units, so we picked a huge one up for $39. It's 6'5" and is over 4' wide. It came with 5 shelves.
We bought some cheapy curtains at 7.99 each, and some shower curtain rings to create a cover for the shelves.

Now, don't judge us..obviously it's not the fanciest solution for storage, but we're happy with it for the time being.

Without further ado...

What do you think? I think we'll buy nicer curtains when we have some extra moolah, but obviously it's not priority #1.

I also think I'll hem the bottom of the curtains, so they don't drag so much.

Xo,
Kelsey
